Iran’s National Orchestra lauded at Kuwait intl. festival
Iran’s National Music Orchestra led by prominent composer Bardia Kiaras has been warmly welcomed in the 2012 Kuwait International Music Festival.
The orchestra with renowned Iranian vocalist Ali-Reza Qorbani was lauded by the Iranian and foreign audiences in the 15th edition of the International Music Festival held at the Dasma Theater in Kuwait.
The Iranian orchestra performed several memorable pieces composed by Rouhollah Khaleqi during the event.
This year’s Kuwait festival also hosted many music ensembles from countries such as Egypt, Bolivia, Jordan, and Yemen.
The National Iranian Orchestra was founded in 1998 under the conduction of maestro Farhad Fakhreddini.
The 15th Kuwait International Music Festival kicked off on June 5 and is scheduled to run until 10 June, 2012.
