Iran has held Muslim Women's Print Media Festival hosting female Muslim publishers from different countries in the capital city of Tehran.
The four-day event aims to create a better understanding of the social role of Muslim women in different societies, Press TV reports.
The festival hosts some 28 publishers from 22 countries, including Belgium, France, Kosovo, Ghana, Indonesia and Iraq.
The event is held on the theme of 'media and soft power in the Muslim world' and participants will discuss ways to counter the way Muslim women are portrayed by the western media.
The festival also tries to present a true image of woman in Islam and draw the attention of those who have limited information regarding the activities and the role of women in Islamic societies.
The next edition of Muslim Women's Print Media Festival will be held in Lebanon next year.
