US presidential candidate Ron Paul has been excluded from the pro-Israeli Republican Party debate to be held later this week.

Ron Paul, a Republican, will be the only candidate not invited to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) forum debate to be held on December 7, according to the International Business Times.

"He's just so far outside of the mainstream of the Republican party and this organization," RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks said.

Paul was absolutely set aside from the event after he said he opposed a military action against Iran.

The International Atomic Energy Agency issued a report on November 8, accusing Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program, a claim Tehran has strongly rejected.

Wielding the report as a pretext, Israel threatened to carry out strikes on Iran's nuclear sites.

Iran argues that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The Texas congressman had also opposed a bill passed by the House Foreign Affairs Committee last month that imposed sanctions against Iran and noted that, “When you put on strong sanctions, those are acts of war.”
