People in several major US cities continue their peaceful protests as part of 'Occupy Wall Street (OWS)' movement that aims to make life fair for 99 percent of all Americans.

The campaign which emanated from downtown Manhattan has developed spinoffs like 'Occupy Chicago,' 'Occupy Los Angeles,' 'Occupy Seattle.'

What unites the protesters is the sense that Washington's corporate interests have come at the expense of the average American citizen.

Meanwhile, the “Occupy” protests in Washington DC continue with people descending upon the Freedom Plaza, near the White House and several blocks from Capitol Hill for the “Occupy Freedom Plaza” round-the-clock camp out effort.

Press TV interviews Mark Dankof, the former US Senate candidate, who says Americans need to put an end to Israeli-driven policies of their government.

The video offers the opinions of two additional guests: Debra Sweet and Sara Flounders.

The following is the text of the interview.

Press TV:The Washington protests have officially kicked off, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the US invasion of Afghanistan and the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget. Do people want and can they achieve their goals?

Dankof: I think what the people want is an end to policies they are destroying the average American. This gets into endless no-win wars of counterinsurgency in the Middle East that the US never had any business being involved with to begin with. It involves the Federal Reserve Board and the fact that the Federal Reserve Board should be terminated and the monetary policy should go back to the US Congress where the Constitution of the US places it. We should also be in a situation where it is understood that what is being depicted by the American news media, largely as a movement of the far left in the US, has much a broader base of support.

I think what has corporate moguls very concerned is the fact the American populist right, that part of the American right wing that has figured out what is going with the on Federal Reserve Board and doesn't not support a Zionist-driven foreign policy and that itself has been profoundly affected by these political and economic policies, is about ready to join many of its counterparts on the left in striking back against the whole situation.

Press TV: When you talk about the media, it needs to be mentioned that even here at Press TV when we want to get some of the updated version of what is going on, for example in New York or in Washington DC, that wasn't available. What does that show in terms of how the media is handling these protests?

Dankof: I think it is abundantly clear that the news media in this country, the corporate news media, reflects corporate interests. That is simple, all you have to look at is the fact, ranging from FOX to CNN, these protests are largely being spun the same way and it seems to me that when you look at how the media aided and abetted some of the false stories that were circulated about 9/11 and some of the false pretexts that were offered by the Bush administration for why we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan, it is very clear that news media is quite complacent in this whole situation that is going on with the international bankers and with the Zionist lobby, the very people who control American domestic and foreign policy.

It all goes back to something that happened in 1956 when the late ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy, the father of the 35th president of the US, was trying to get his son Jack elected eventually to the American presidency and in a meeting in Palm Beach Florida with a New York industrial executive by the name of DeWest Hooker, they discussed what would have to be done to get Jack Kennedy elected DeWest Hooker told my colleague Michael Collins Piper before DeWest Hooker's death, that if Joseph P. Kennedy said that if Jack Kennedy was elected, he would eventually use his burgeoning political power to end the Rothschild-dominated Federal Reserve Board. I think that had a lot to with what happened on November22nd 1963, it explains what continues to happen to American political process.

Press TV: People attending these protests are not supporters of one political party or another. Why have people lost faith in both political parties? (And I know you have some view about the upcoming presidential election.)

Dankof: The interesting thing is that there is a solid third political party in this country that never gotten off the ground; ballot access laws are part of that, those are controlled by both Republican and Democratic parties and the secretaries of state, if they control any individual state, you also have a situation where third party candidates are not given an opportunity to have their views known within corporate news media to wide percentages of American public, corporate money is also denied to these third party candidates that have any degree of independence from what has been going on; that is a good percentage of the problem here.

I'd also like to respond to something that Sara Flounders had to say. It seems to me that when we look at the difficulties that have happened in the US in the last ten years, I am reminded of something that happened when my brother and I were talking about the election results of 2008. My brother is a common police core judge in the state of Ohio, he is a liberal democrat, he was solidly behind Barack Obama, Steve is someone who has a lot of the same concerns that the other guests have with what is happening with our economy.

I said to my brother privately, when he was exalting the virtues of Barack Obama as a wonderful alternative to people like John McCain and George W Bush whom I also have no use for by the way, I pointed out the fact that Rahm Israel Emanuel, then Obama's incoming chief of staff and a former member of Israel Defense Forces, had received more Political Action Committee money when he was in the US Congress than literally anyone else in the House of Representatives taking money in mass numbers from the very banks and brokers' firms who were direct recipients of this bailout money.

I am going to suggest that there is an issue here that involves Jewish control of the news media, Jewish control of the American political process, disproportionate Jewish control of the international banking system through the Federal Reserve Board and an Israeli-driven American foreign policy; that is the key to what is going on here and what is been going on in the US for a little less than 100 years, at least, and I am not an anti-Semite or racist but I insist this is the core of the problem and until we acknowledge it is the core of the problem, both of us on the left and right are simply going to be tap-dancing around the whole situation.

Press TV: If there is an American Awakening, and since we talked about the one percent that is dictating the lives of these people in America who were awakened, what are they going to sabotage, maybe I shouldn't use that term, or to stop this awakening from spreading and for it to have results?

Dankof: I think maybe sabotage is the right word and it seems to me whether you are looking at Arab Spring or revolutionary movements which exist for very understandable reasons or when you look at what is happening in the US there is going to be an attempt and there will be an attempt on the part of very forces that in many case these ladies correctly identified to corrupt these movements infiltrate them and to put false spins on them in news media.

I think the other thing that we have to aware of is a false flag operation either in Middle East or in the US or in Europe that will start a third World War and divert people's attention away from these real political and economic interests that they trying to raise up in protests and divert us once again into a complete catastrophe that I will continue to insist is backed by the usual suspects who are represented disproportionately by the very group of people whom I had the courage to identify while I think both of the other guests are under perpetual state of denial.
