Iran reaffirms support for Palestine against Israel
A senior Iranian official has reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s support for the Palestinian resistance groups as the Israeli regime steps up its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
“Iran has in the past withheld no aid and support for the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip, and it will continue to support them in the future,” Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said.
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been supporting “all Palestinian resistance groups including the Hamas movement.”
Amir-Abdollahian said the only solution to the ongoing conflict in the occupied territories would be resistance by the Palestinians, adding that the Zionist regime understands no other language but the language of force.
The Iranian official also said that arms could be supplied to the Palestinian resistance fighters from across the world.
Israel relentlessly continues its aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 1,370 people and injuring around 7,700 others since it launched its offensive on July 8.
Israeli forces also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17. About 300 of the victims have been children.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue attacks on Gaza.
On Thursday, Israel mobilized 16,000 reservists for the ground military operations in the Gaza Strip, putting the total number at 86,000.
The Tel Aviv regime has targeted hospitals, clinics, and shelters in the besieged Palestinian territory over the past days.
