According to Police, the shooting happened Sunday evening and left two dead.
Detroit Police are searching the Pablo Davis Elder Living Center in Southwest Detroit after two women were shot to death Sunday afternoon.
Police spokeswoman Kelly Miner said the shooting appeared to be a domestic violence situation and that the suspected shooter has been arrested.
“Currently, residents are still evacuated,” Miner said. “They are on a bus provided by Detroit Police Department.”
The two women were in the 50s and lived in the center, on West Vernor Highway near Dix, Miner said.
“The police have been here all night,” said Patsy Hampton, 79, who lives in the complex. “I couldn’t figure out why they would kill them. We’re senior citizens living on fixed incomes.” Detroit Free Press
