The second-in-command of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has vehemently rejected claims by Nigerian security forces about the arrest of three spies and terrorists allegedly on charges of cooperating with Iran and the IRGC. Brigadier General Hossein Salami dismissed recent claims by Nigeria’s security forces that three men have been arrested for involvement in espionage activities and efforts to kill two former military commanders and one religious leader of the African country. “We strongly reject this claim,” Salami told ISNA on Monday.
The IRGC commander also denied claims about the arrest of two Iranians in Germany for selling German-made drone engines to Iran, saying all parts of drones are manufactured in the Islamic Republic.Iran is producing all parts of drones from the Wankel engines to piston engines by relying on indigenous capabilities, he explained.
