New video footage has surfaced from Syria showing the inhumane treatment of civilians at the hands of the foreign-backed militants. The video shows men who appear to be members of the so-called Free Syrian Army ruthlessly beating and torturing members of a family. The location of the incident was not identified. Meanwhile, Syrian government forces are continuing the battle with the militants in different parts of Syria. On Saturday, the army clashed with militants in the Mansoura and al-Otaiba regions near Damascus. They also drove the militants out of the town of Tal Hasel, which is located east of the Aleppo airport. The Syria crisis began in mid-March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of security personnel, have been killed in the violence, and several international human rights organizations say the foreign-sponsored militants have committed war crimes. The Syrian government says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants fighting the Syrian government are foreign nationals.
