One person has been killed and two others injured in a bombing in Damascus.
On Saturday, an explosive device planted underneath a vehicle detonated near al-Hijaz Square.
There has been a wave of bomb attacks in Syria in recent weeks.
Last week, at least 50 people were killed and dozens more injured in a bombing in the town of Salmiyeh in the western governorate of Hama.
The Syria crisis began in March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of soldiers and security personnel, have been killed.
Damascus says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants are foreign nationals.
The Syrian government says the West and its regional allies, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are supporting the armed groups.
