A political analyst tells Press TV that the US President Barack Obama has disappointed Americans by spinning out hollow words during his second-term inaugural address.
“Obama’s inauguration is the triumph of three things: the corporatocracy; the status quo; and apathy - particularly apathy,” said online columnist Allen Roland in an interview with Press TV.
The journalist criticized Obama’s first term as president, citing failure to rescue the nation from former President George W. Bush’s legacy of throwing the nation under the bus.
“What we have is the status quo and corporatocracy. We have the Bush violations of trust, etcetera, carried on by the Obama administration. It’s empty words that have been spun out there and most of the American public knows it,” Roland said.
The expert went on to say that Obama will continue four more years of the same policies, the “same corporatocracy, the same agenda and doctrine.”
“I see no change in this at all…I see the American public becoming more and more disillusioned by this. I see the fact that our economy is not really recovering at all and this will become more and more obvious,” Roland concluded.
