Several police officers arrested over the death of Iranian blogger. Iran’s General Prosecutor and Judiciary Spokesman, Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, said in a press conference severalople have been arrested so far in connection with the death of Iranian blogger, Sttar beheshti. Beheshti, was arrested on October 30th by Iran’s Cyber Police and charged with actions against national security. On November 6th he died in custody. Iran’s Prosecutor General stated He added that the Coroner’s Office has not been able to come up with the clear cause of death. Tehran’s Cyber-police Chief, Saeed Shokrian, was fired due to "negligence and insufficient supervision" of subordinates in Sattar Beheshti’s case. Many at first believed that the blogger had died in prison, but the Chief of Tehran’s penitentiary also believes that Iran’s Cyberpolice are the only entity that should be blamed in this case. Iran’s General Prosecutor stated that the coroner’s report indicates that the bruises found on Sattar Beheshti’s body were 3-4 days old.
