Sepahan of Iran has earned a scoreless draw against al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia in the first leg of the Asian Champions League quarterfinal. The match was held at Isfahan’s Fouladshahr stadium on Wednesday. Sepahan's best chance was created in the 12th minute when striker Mohammad Reza Khalatbari blasted the ball goalwards, but it rebounded off the crossbar. The two teams will meet in the Saudi capital city of Jeddah on October 2. In Adelaide, Australia’s Adelaide United tied 2-2 with Uzbekistan’s Bunyodkor, South Korea’s Ulsan Hyundai defeated Saudi Arabia’s al-Hilal 1-0 at home and Saudi’s al-Ittihad thrashed China’s Guangzhou Evergrande 4-2 in Jeddah.
