Hundreds of Iranian students hold noon prayers after their protest rally in front of the Swiss embassy in the Iranian capital city, Tehran, September 13, 2012.
Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi has condemned the anti-Islam movie recently produced in the US as a scheme aimed at sparking confrontation among the followers of the world’s divine religions.
“The objective of those who have insulted the holy position of the Prophet (PBUH) is to sow discord among the three great divine religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam,” Rahimi said on Saturday.
The plotters are ignorant of the fact that Islam pays a special regard and respect to all the divine prophets and Muslims like Prophet Moses and Jesus Christ the same way they respect Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), he pointed out.
“The Muslims’ respect for other religions is the message of friendship and a campaign against division,” Rahimi added.
The Muslim nations’ fury over the sacrilegious movie continues to rage across the world with angry protests being held in many Islamic countries.
The blasphemous 2012 movie has purportedly been produced by an anti-Islam Israeli-American.
