Tehran citizens took to the streets after Friday Prayers to voice their protest to the US-made anti-Islam movie which insults Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), on September, 14, 2012.
The Iranian people have held nationwide rallies to express their outrage over an anti-Islam movie produced in the US which insults Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Protesters took to the streets in the Iranian capital, Tehran, after the Friday Prayers in protest to the blasphemous movie and called for the punishment of the agents behind the sacrilegious act.
They chanted slogans such as ‘Death to the US’ and ‘Death to Israel’ and said hostile policies of Tel Aviv, Washington and other arrogant powers are the root cause of the blasphemous act.
The protesters also stressed the importance of maintaining unity among Muslim nations across the world to confront enemies of the Muslim world.
In a message issued on Thursday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei slammed the antagonistic policies of Zionism and the US as the root cause of the recent production of the American movie.
Also on Thursday, hundreds of Iranian students gathered outside the Swiss Embassy in Tehran to protest against the anti-Islam movie.
The protesters called for suspension of the activities of the US embassies in all the Muslim countries and urged the Islamic nations to cut economic ties with the US.
The demonstrations come amid the growing outrage across the Muslim world over the sacrilegious movie.
The Wall Street Journal
reported on Tuesday that the blasphemous movie has been produced by anti-Islam Israeli-American Sam Bacile.
The report added that, Bacile, a real estate developer, has assumed responsibility for the film, which he said was made thanks to Jewish donations totaling USD 5 million.
