Iranian weightlifter Nader Moradi has pocketed the country’s second gold medal in the 60 kilogram category at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Moradi managed to lift 192 and 196 kilograms to win the first place at the Olympic Park Stadium in east London on Saturday.
Earlier in the day Jalil Baqeri won Iran's first gold medal in the 14th Paralympic Games in the Men's shot put.
Baqeri made a throw of 11.63 meters to win the gold. Karol Kozun of Poland earned the silver with 11.36 meters, and Robin Womack of Britain won the bronze with 11.34 meters.
On Friday, Sareh Javanmardi won a bronze medal in the women's 10 meter air-pistol event.
The London Paralympics opened on August 29 and runs until September 9. The Paralympic Games is the world's second largest major international multi-sport event, involving athletes with a range of physical challenges.
Iran has sent 79 athletes, competing in 13 events, to the London Paralympics.
Iran currently stands in the 19th place with three medals -- two golds and one bronze.
