The 2nd edition of Iran’s International Computer Game Expo and Festival is scheduled to be mounted in the capital city of Tehran’s Grand Prayer Grounds.

The expo, which is slated to kick off on July 26, 2012, will host many game designers from Iran and many other countries from across the world.

Eight international companies from South Korea, Italy, Japan, France, Malaysia, Turkey, the UAE and Bulgaria have announced their participation in the event.

Index, Purplemaru, Xssoftware and Neomobile are some of the computer games that will be presented in the fair.

Organizers say the event aims to introduce Iran's culture and Islamic identity, discover new talents and present Iranian products to international producers and distributors of computer games.

Iran's computer game productions have been warmly received by many European, American and East Asian countries so far.

The games have been presented in several international expos such as the renowned European game industry fair, Gamescom, where they won great acclaim by visitors and experts.

The 2012 edition of Tehran’s International Computer Game Expo and Festival is programmed to run until June 30.
