Academy Award-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi is programming to start shooting his new film in the French capital of Paris.
International Memento Films Production co-director Alexander Mallet-Guy is slated to produce Farhadi’s new film, the title of which has not been announced yet.
French Oscar winner Marion Cotillard along with French actor of Algerian origin, Tahar, Rahim will star in Farhadi’s next project, which is scheduled to be shot in Paris in autumn, 2012.
The storyline of the project will be revealed after Farhadi completes the screenplay, said Mallet-Guy, adding that he had previously said that the film would depict the story of an Iranian girl and a boy of North African origin.
Pitched at €11-million budget, Farhadi’s new production will be his first filmmaking experience in a foreign country.

won the Oscar for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards.
The drama also turned heads winning The Best Foreign Film Award of the 27th annual Independent Spirit Awards during a ceremony held one day before the 84th Academy Awards.
The film won the award for the Best Foreign Language film at the 2012 edition of Golden Globes. It also received the 2012 Turkish Film Critics Association Award (SIYAD) in the same category.
