Iran has successfully launched 14 surface-to-surface missiles on the second day of the Great Prophet 6 military drills.
The missiles fired on Tuesday morning included Zelzal (Temblor), Shahab-1, Shahab-2 and Shahab-3, a Press TV reporter said.
Five Shahab missiles, including four medium-range and one long-range, as well as 9 Zelzal missiles were launched.
The Islamic Republic began the Great Prophet 6 drills on Monday.
On the first day of the exercises, Iran unveiled underground missile silos and fired Fateh (Conquerer)-110 missile.
The spokesman for The Great Prophet 6 drills General Asghar Qelich-Khani said the silos are part of the swift reaction units of Iran's missile forces.
“The silos are a part of the swift reaction unit of the missile brigade; missiles are stored vertically, ready to be launched against pre-determined targets,” Qelich-Khani said Monday.
Iran says the Great Prophet 6 maneuver has completely defensive objectives and will be staged with the message of "peace and friendship."
