Mysterious blast rocks Gaza city

A mysterious explosion demolished 8 homes in the central Gaza Strip and injured over 50 people in June 2010.
A mysterious explosion has gone off near a Hamas security compound in the center of Gaza city, reportedly leaving no injuries.
Palestinian security officials say the blast occurred near a building used by the Hamas movement and tore a two-meter wide hole through a wall of a nearby UN compound, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Other sources say a nearby mosque was also damaged in the blast.
The cause of the explosion remains unknown.
The Israeli military, which has repeatedly attacked Gaza, has not immediately commented on the incident.
However, other reports quote Israeli military elements as denying responsibility for the blast.
