A bomb attack has claimed the life of a US-led soldier in southern Afghanistan as foreign forces face a climbing number of deadly attacks in the war-ravaged country.
NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement that the explosion took place on Thursday, a Press TV correspondent reports.
The statement did not reveal the circumstances of the death or the nationality of the dead soldier.
The death brings the number of foreign soldiers killed in Afghanistan in 2011 to 162.
As the US-led force casualties persistently climb in Afghanistan, public opinion in the United States and other Western countries is increasingly turning against the Afghan war.
