An oil truck has exploded on Iraq's border with Jordan, killing two people and injuring at least 12 others, reports say.
The Thursday incident took place after "a tanker truck that unloaded the oil it was carrying from Iraq…caught fire due to an explosion," a Jordanian security official told AFP.
The blast caused "a fire that affected 19 other trucks," he added.
Those injured are in a serious condition, the official said, adding that "a number of others are missing."
Witnesses said at least 10 drivers had been rushed to a nearby medical center, Reuters reported.
The fire consumed a dozen vehicles.
A faulty unloading procedure apparently caused the incident, AFP said.
"The driver of the tanker truck, an Iraqi, is in the hands of the police and is in a state of shock," the official said.
