The managing director of the Iran Electronics Industries Company says the newly-inaugurated communications and telecoms projects in the country have several new features.
"High security in emergency cases is among the features of the communications and telecoms projects which came on line today", Ebrahim Mahmoudzaded was quoted by the IRIB as saying on the sidelines of a ceremony Tuesday to inaugurate 28 electronic and telecoms projects at the Defense Ministry.
"Another key feature of the projects is that they will be handed over to the (Iranian) Armed Forces as a complete network and in the form of a command system", he added.
He underlined the new equipment is also fully digitalized and programmable, and can operate in the form of wires and fibers as well.
He said the devices have a network-like, multi-layer high-security structure which makes it impossible for the enemy to detect them.
"The most important project inaugurated today was a command and control system", he said, which can collectively coordinate the command network between commanders, troops and headquarters, making it possible for commanders to have access to all communications and telecommunications layers.
The projects can be utilized in environments which require special communications networks such as emergency services and the transportation grid.
He said a large number of telecoms devices have been delivered to the armed forces over the past five or six years, and added the designing, manufacture and maintenance of the equipment are fully done by local industries.
