Riot police gather on a street during clashes with demonstrators.
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warns protestors of a “decisive and revolutionary response” should they continue to take to the streets of the capital, Tehran.

"We warn the main elements behind the riots and their deceived supporters to … halt their acts of sabotage and end their riots or be prepared for a decisive and revolutionary confrontation with the Guards, Basij and other security and disciplinary forces," the IRGC said in a Monday statement.

Following the victory of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Iran's 10th presidential elections, the country has become the scene of illegal rallies with defeated presidential hopefuls Mir-Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi rejecting the result as fraudulent and demanding a re-run.

On Saturday, acting Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan warned against any illegal gatherings, saying that the police would firmly deal with any illegal rallies and those who plan such activities will be prosecuted.
