Ahmadinejad, Mousavi to hold TV debate

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and presidential hopeful Mir-Hossein Mousavi will hold a TV debate to clarify their plans.

The 90-minute debates will be held from 3 June 2009, as part a program put forward by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) for pair debates between the four qualified presidential hopefuls, ISNA reported.

The program has been arranged based on a ballot that was held by the representatives of the presidential hopefuls at the IRIB headquarters in Tehran on Wednesday.

Six 90-minute debates between the presidential hopefuls will be broadcast from Iran's "Channel 3" according to the following schedule:

Tuesday 2 June 2009, 18:00-19:30 GMT:
Mahdi Karroubi and Mohsen Rezaei

Wednesday 3 June 2009, 18:00-19:30 GMT:
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Mir-Hossein Mousavi

Thursday 4 June 2009, 18:00-19:30 GMT:
Mohsen Rezaei and Mir-Hossein Mousavi

Saturday 6 June 2009, 18:00-19:30 GMT:
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Mahdi Karroubi

Sunday 7 June 2009, 18:00-19:30 GMT:
Mir-Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi
