Netanyahu accuses Ahmadinejad of being a holocaust denier.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu labels the Iranian president a holocaust denier, accusing him of attempting to perpetrate genocide.

Speaking at the official Yom Hashoah Holocaust remembrance ceremony in al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Monday, Netanyahu called Ahmadinejad a Holocaust denier who wants to perpetrate a massacre of the Jews, Ha'aretz reported.

"We will not allow the holocaust deniers to carry out another holocaust against the Jewish people. This is the supreme duty of the state of Israel. This is my supreme duty as prime minister of Israel," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu's fearful remarks came following the UN World Conference Against Racism (WCAR), which some countries boycotted under Israeli and American pressures.

During the Durban II conference, which opened in Geneva on Monday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made an anti-Israeli speech that attracted disruptions from protestors within the conference room.

While President Ahmadinejad's lambasting of Israel prompted a temporary walkout by certain delegates, it received applause from other delegations that remained seated in the UN assembly hall.

Netanyahu called the Durban II conference "a demonstration of hatred toward Israel", arguing that in his opinion "the world sounds a weak voice against those who advocate erasing Israel".

During the conference Ahmadinejad said that since World War II, bullying powers "resorted to military aggression and made an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering and they sent for migrants of their own kind from Europe, the United States and other parts of the world in order to establish a totally racist government in occupied Palestine."

"In fact, in compensation for the dire consequences of racism in Europe, they helped bring to power the most cruel and repressive racist regime in Palestine", he added.

Ahmadinejad condemned the UN Security Council for helping the occupying regime to become stabilized and for supporting the regime over the past 60 years by giving them a free hand to commit a variety of atrocities against human kind.

Referring to the recent Israeli offensive to the blockaded Gaza Strip, which left thousands of Palestinian civilians dead and wounded, the Iranian president said, "It is all the more regrettable that a number of western governments led by the United States have committed themselves to defending racist perpetrators of genocidal practices while the awakened-conscience and free-minded people of the world condemn such aggression, brutalities and the indiscriminate bombardment of the displaced men, women, and children of Gaza."

Ahmadinejad believes that the extent of the holocaust of World War II is a 'myth' greatly exaggerated by Europeans who sought to set up a pure Jewish state in the heart of the Palestinian lands.

Israel has been accused internationally of committing war crimes during the war on Gaza, including the use of deadly white phosphorus shells in densely populated civilian areas and the use of civilians as human shields.

Israel initially denied using the controversial weapon containing phosphorus, however, indisputable evidence (shown globally on video feed) caught them in their lies and later forced Israeli officials to admit having employed the shells.

A recent report by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Gaza said that the Israeli war against the blockaded Gaza Strip has so far left 437 children dead and 1,872 more wounded.
