La Strada by Javad Alizadeh
A German online cartoon community is to display a drawing by an award-winning Iranian artist throughout the Berlin subway system.

Toonpool.com is scheduled to display a caricature by Javad Alizadeh on 4,000 monitors throughout the Berlin subway system.

La Strada (The Road) is an Italian neorealistic film directed by Federico Fellini. Javad Alizadeh has caricaturized the film's naive central character, played by Fellini's wife, Giulietta Masina, who is sold to a brutish man in a coastal town in Italy.

Toonpool, a website where cartoonists can upload their art, is a central location to display, browse and share cartoons and caricatures.

Berlin Subway also selected Javad Alizadeh's work for a similar event last year.
