President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the Palestinian nation's resistance against Israeli attacks "will continue and will get stronger".

"The Palestinian nation has awakened and Hamas epitomizes the Palestinian people's vigilance," the Iranian President said.

Ahmadinejad said the foundation of the Israeli regime has been "a plot carried out by the enemies to establish a base at the heart of the Middle East."

"The Zionist regime has no place in the region and it has lost the philosophy behind its existence," he told IRNA.

"Today everybody knows that the Zionist regime has been formed on baseless principles and it has no goals but sowing disunion and paving the way for the domination of the corrupt powers in the Middle East," Iran's President said.
