Presidential aide Sadeq Mahsouli will take the helm at Iran's Interior Ministry.
Presidential aide Sadeq Mahsouli will 'soon' become caretaker of Iran's Interior Ministry to fill the post left vacant by impeachment.

Reports on Friday suggested that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will appoint Mahsouli, a university professor, to the Interior Ministry to fill its chief position.

Mahsouli, who holds a master's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, had been nominated in 2005 to take control of Iran's Ministry of Petroleum.

The possible appointment comes after former interior minister Ali Kordan was impeached and dissmissed by Iran's Majlis (parliament) for deception on Tuesday over his forged degree from Oxford University.
