The Venezuelan Embassy in Tehran will host a panel of Iranian experts to discuss "Venezuelan Political Cinema" February 27.

The event is part of the embassy's efforts to highlight various political movements in Venezuela's history.

The program will screen documentaries which reflect periods of major social change in Venezuelan society, including the 2002 attempted coup against Hugo Chavez.

The selected films reflect the current popularity of Chavez and the Venezuelan people's historical resistance to imperialism.

The documentaries include titles such as "The Revolution Does Not Spread" and "Venezuela's Bolivari, Nation and Uprising".
