'Bush to mourn failure to attack Iran'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says George W. Bush will end his presidency with a 'grief of failure' to wage war on Tehran.
In a Tuesday press conference at the headquarters of a UN summit on the global food crisis, Ahmadinejad said the Bush administration has leveled false accusations against Tehran in order to justify a military strike on Iran.
The White House alleges that Iran is developing a nuclear weapons program and insists that military option remains on the table to counter what it calls 'the Iranian threat'. Tehran, however, rejects the allegations, stressing that its nuclear program is purely civilian.
Furthermore, US echelons accuse Tehran of fueling insurgency in Iraq. However, Washington has failed to provide concrete proof to its claim.
Amid reports that Bush is planning an air-strike on Iran 'within months', speculations have been running high that the Middle East may oversee a new war.
"Bush is eagerly interested in a military attack against Iran. He has tried for several times to find excuses for such an attack, but he fails every time," the Iranian president noted.
"He knows he will bring his presidential term to an end with the grief of his failure," he added.
Iran has warned that any act of aggression on its soil will be met with a 'crushing response'.
