UN chief Ban Ki-moon has arrived in the southwestern town of Yingxiu near the epicenter of China's recent quake, which killed over 60,000.
Ban landed in Chengdu, the capital of worst-hit Sichuan province, after visiting neighboring Myanmar to see the aftermath of a massive cyclone.
Ban flew to Yingxiu, about 40 miles (60 kilometers) southeast of the May 12 quake's epicenter in Sichuan province Saturday and went into a meeting with Premier Wen Jiabao, who also was visiting the area.
It is set to be a quick visit for Ban, who was scheduled to return to neighboring Myanmar for an international conference on Sunday of donors in the wake of the cyclone.
The storm that struck three weeks ago left 133,000 people dead or missing.
