Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian says Iran reserves the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes to attain prosperity.
The nations of the world, including Iranians, are rightfully entitled to the peaceful use of nuclear technology within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Ohanian said in a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, Ali Saqaiyan.
Saqaiyan submitted a message from Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar to his Armenian counterpart congratulating him on his new appointment and invited him to visit Iran.
During the meeting both sides called for implementing all previous accords between the two countries, reiterating the need to resolve the Karabakh dispute within the framework of the Minsk group agreements.
The Armenian defense minister also thanked his Iranian counterpart and accepted his invitation.
