Iran's Election Headquarters has announced the results of mid-term elections for the Assembly of Experts from 3 provincial constituencies.

East Azarbaijan Province
Hashem Hashemzadeh Harisi with 460,035 votes from a total of 1,193,217 votes.

Hashemzadeh Harisi replaces Ayatollah Morteza Banifazl who has passed away.

Ilam Province
Seyyed Mojtaba Taheri-Khorramabadi with 121,640 votes.

Qazvin Province
Ayatollah Ali Eslami with 177,948 votes out of a total of 386,817 votes cast.

The mid-term elections for the Assembly of Experts was held concurrently with the Eighth Majlis elections for several reasons, including the resignation or death of former representatives.
