Scores of Pakistani students in Karachi protest against the republication of the cartoon desecrating Prophet Mohammad in Danish papers.

In their demonstration on Thursday, the students chanted "Death to the cartoonist" and torched the Danish flag.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said, "We are in touch with the Danish authorities on this issue as it hurts the feelings of over one billion Muslims of the world,"

Several Danish papers reprinted the cartoon on Wednesday to show their support for freedom of expression a day after police foiled a plot to murder the cartoonist.

"We are not against freedom of expression, but certainly freedom of expression as we have said repeatedly, is not a license to insult other people" Sadiq added.

The republication of the blasphemous caricature has triggered protests and strong condemnations throughout the Muslim world.
