IKIA director general, Hossein Baqerian, has been dismissed.
Director general of Imam Khomeini International Airport Gholam-Hossein Baqerian has been dismissed, official sources announce.

"He was dismissed due to a number of problems at the airports," Fars news agency quoted an unnamed source as saying on Sunday.

According to the source, Khal'atzadeh, the deputy director for logistics planning, has been introduced as the airport's caretaker.

Reza Jafarzadeh, the spokesman of the Iran's Civil Aviation Organization also confirmed the news, but failed to give any reason for Baqerian's dismissal who held the post for four years.

Heavy snowfall in Tehran caused the cancellation of flights at the airport, located 30 km from the capital Tehran, for several consecutive days.
