Former presidential adviser Paul Begala says he is shocked by Fox News' fabricated story about him joining Hillary Clinton's campaign.
Paul Begala, who is a political consultant to CNN, unraveled the story in his Wednesday blog entry on Huffington Post.
The former adviser to President Bill Clinton said January 8 was the most surrealistic day he has ever had, despite having dealt with politics and the media for 25 years.
Fox News' big story of the day was that Begala is 'joining Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign'.
"The only problem was, it wasn't true," the prominent journalist explained.
Begala said the network never even bothered to confirm the story by its source.
He added that even after he told the people at the network that the story was utterly untrue, Fox kept repeating the story, saying they would take his remarks 'under advisement'.
Begala has suggested that the slogan 'We report - even if we know it's false' is indeed suitable for the network.
