Iran's tactical vehicle in mass production

The Iranian Defense Ministry has begun the mass production of the Safir tactical vehicle which can carry various missile launchers.
The ministry has already produced 3,000 Safir vehicles and is expected to manufacture an annual 5,000 as of next year, Farsnews reported.
Experts at the ministry have designed Safir in such away that it enables the setup and use of various weapons such as a Tow missile launcher, a 107mm rocket launcher, or a GMG (grenade machine gun) launcher.
Safir can also be used as a command and communications vehicle or ambulance in battlefields.
In comparison to other similar models, Safir is considered to be a leading vehicle as it is equipped with a powerful engine, a steel chassis, and a strong body.
Low fuel consumption, efficient power transmission and suspension systems, compatibility with Iran's various geographical conditions as well as being equipped with powerful axles are said to be among its other characteristics.
