Minister of Agriculture, Mohammad-Reza Eskandari, says the obstacles preventing Iran's shrimp export to EU nations have been removed.
Iran has satisfied the necessary requirements for selling shrimp to other countries and will be able to export shrimp to EU countries in the near future, he said at a press conference on Sunday.
The official added that another successful measure Iran has taken in the field of agriculture is the domestic production of brucellosis vaccine for cows and sheep.
The mass production of ovine and bovine vaccine started on Saturday after nine years of research by Iranian experts, said Eskandari.
Domestic production of the vaccines will greatly benefit the country as it will slash the overall expenditure for the product by more than 1500 per cent.
