Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has arrived in the western province of Ilam in the second round of his tours of various provinces.

The president and his entourage were welcomed at Ilam Airport Wednesday by the province's religious jurisprudent and Friday prayers leader, Ilam Governor General and MPs as well as a number of local officials.

Speaking to reporters, President Ahmadinejad said he intended to see what had happened as a result of his first visit to Ilam province.

He also plans to discuss the problems of the local people with them.

Several cabinet ministers, deputies, advisors as well as individuals from the Presidential Office accompany Ahmadinejad on this trip.

During his three-day stay in Ilam, the president and his cabinet ministers are expected to hold meetings and attend several workshops.

The ministers will travel to the surrounding cities in order to be informed of public problems.
