Iran's Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, has met his counterparts in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.

In his meeting with Zimbabwean Foreign Minister, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Friday, Mottaki said Tehran would expand mutual ties with Harare regarding the difficulties currently faced by Zimbabwe.

He added that Harare expects Tehran to make investments in its industrial and agricultural sectors and help in technology transfer for the manufacturing of agricultural machinery.

Mottaki, in his meeting with his Ghanaian counterpart, Akwasi Osei Adjei, said that Iran's policy is based on bolstering ties with all African countries and making use of their potentialities to expand bilateral cooperation.

The Ghanaian minister welcomed expansion of relations with Tehran and lauded Iran's experience in different fields, which, he said, could be used in his country's development.

In his meeting with the Gabonese Foreign Minister, Jean Ping, Mottaki noted the two countries' interest in promoting economic cooperation in energy, oil, gas and auto fields and welcomed the opening in the near future of Gabon's Embassy in Tehran.

In a meeting with Iceland's Foreign Minister, Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir, the Iranian foreign minister outlined the latest developments in Iran's peaceful nuclear case and recent agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency, saying that so far all reports by the agency have testified to the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities.

For her part, the Iceland minister expressed her country's support for the current Iran-IAEA cooperation and called for the expansion of bilateral relations.
