Iran, Oman to develop joint oilfields

Four joint oil field projects are to be implemented in collaboration with Oman in the Strait of Hormuz, a senior Iranian oil official has said.
The Managing Director of the Offshore Oil Co., Mahmoud Zirakchian, said that the four fields called Hormuz A, B, C and D, have high-quality oil reserves and have a capacity to produce 80,000 barrels per day.
Oman is willing to invest in development of the four oil fields and we expect to work out the project together, Zirakchian concluded.
