Italian Supreme Court calls US claims towards Iran baseless
The General Secretary for the Iran and Italy chamber of commerce called the American claims to block the Iranian assets as baseless.

After two years of Iranian accounts blockade, Italian Supreme Court rejected the American claims against Iran and called them baseless.

Dr. Pier Luigi d'Agata emphasized that the Italian judiciary is a fully independent body, and hence, has announced its new verdict. In an interview with Italian radio service of the IRIB, Dr. Pier Luigi d'Agata said that the US allegations have caused the blockade of the Iranian accounts in Italy and have led to a slow down in the commercial relationships between the two countries, reported by Alalam.

He also said that Iran-Italy Chamber of Commerce has tried to gain the first place among Iran's European business partners in the recent months, and to keep the level of the relationships between the two nations high.

He added that the Italian banks were ready to provide any types of credits and financial supports to both the Italian and the Iranian banks and companies.

He also stipulated that the Italian investors are very much interested in working with Iran and have always found that working with Iranians is interesting and based on friendly relations that have continuously led to excellent results.

Wishing for further improvement on the political atmosphere between the two countries, d'Agata mentioned that they would wait to see in which parts the Iranian government would be interested to allow the presence of the foreign investors, and then, they would persuade the Italian investors to have an active role in those sections.
