An Iranian director will make a documentary on the real story of a volume of the English translation of Ruba'iyat of Omar Khayyam which sank in the Titanic accident.
Today, after about a century, Kioumars Pourahmad, an Iranian film writer, will make a documentary on the loss of the valuable translation done by the English writer, Edward Marlborough FitzGerald in the tragedy of titanic.
The 'Lost Fact' is the story of the book which was on the way to be delivered for further issues to be published but by the accident that happened to the ship, it did not make the journey.
"The filming will begin in September", Mohammad Ali Farsi, the director of the documentary said.
The film will feature three aspects of the facts about the book. Fitzgerald's passion to translate the Rubaiyat, publisher's effort to publish the book and Iran's cultural share in the story are the three segments of the film, Fars News reported.
'When once you hear the roses are in bloom,
Then is the time, my love, to pour the wine;
Houris and palaces and Heaven and Hell-
These are but fairy-tales, forget them all.'
(Edward Fitzgerald's Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam)
