National Iranian South Oil Company says comprehensive studies on four oilfields will be conducted by the end of current Iranian calendar year.
The fields were Haftkal, Ramshir, Mansouri, and Aghajari; SHANA news agency quoted the managing director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Seifollah Jashnsaz as saying on Monday.
NISOC is a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), operating on onshore oil and gas fields in southern Iran.
According to Jashnsaz, 90 percent of comprehensive study on Haftkal field has been made and studies on Ramshir, Mansouri, and Aghajari fields have made 50, 57, and 60 percent progress respectively.
He said the studies on three more reserves would kick off this year and some fields were undergoing geological tests.
“The project to construct a gas injection station at the Aghajari oilfield is scheduled to come on stream in October 2007,” said Jashnsaz.
“The project is now 90 percent complete and it is due to become operational in October,” he said.
The official further added that the station would be used for injecting the gas produced from phases 6-8 of South Pars into the Aghajari oilfield.
Two billion cubic feet of natural gas would be conveyed from South Pars to the field via a 56-inch 500 km long pipeline.
