Democrats raising E-funds to counter Palin drive

A Democratic body is seeking to raise USD 500,000 through fundraising emails to counter a "dangerous" Palin's effort to derail health care overhaul efforts.
With the media focusing on former vice president candidate Sarah Palin and her nation wide "Going Rogue" book tour, the Organizing for America (OFA), a community project by the National Democratic Committee, is getting ready for a new battle and trying to raise cash.
"Remember, this is the person who coined the term 'Death Panels' and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists," the e-mail read, according to Fox News.
Palin's tour for her memoir started this week, aiming to visit several key states during the 2008 presidential election.
Though the memoir has topped best-seller lists for two weeks, Palin left many fans unhappy at her tour stop in Noblesville, Indiana. The fans were told that Palin would sign their hardcover copies of "Going Rogue," but they had to leave empty-handed after waiting for hours in line.
The email also said, "Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform," Fox News claimed.
Insiders, who have spoken with Palin say that she is anxious to run in 2012, and opinion polls show that she is currently the most publicly supported republican figure.
Among the self-identified republicans at a recent Fox News poll, Sarah Palin has the highest support ratings at 70 percent.
The title "Going Rogue" refers to Palin's streak of independence during her candidacy, which stemmed from complaints within her campaign of GOP presidential nominee John McCain that she had gone "Rogue" by disagreeing with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan last October.
The book follows Palin throughout her childhood to her departure last summer as Alaska Governor.
