Holland to hold 4th Iranian film festival

The Netherlands is set to hold the fourth edition of the Iranian Film Festival focusing on post-revolution Iranian cinema.

The event, to be held from Dec. 18 to 20, 2009 in De Fabriek, Zaandam, will present short films, video clips, animations, feature-length films and documentaries made after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Abdolreza Kahani's Over There and Mehrshad Karkhani's Loose Rope will be among the films screened this year, Mehr News Agency reported.

Khatereh Hanachi's Countdown, Ala Mohseni's My City, Pizza and Mohammad-Hassan Damanzan's Torqeh will also be screened during the annual festival.

Visitors will have the chance to become more familiar with veteran and aspiring Iranian filmmakers and enjoy Iranian music and photography on the sidelines of the festival.
