100,000 NATO and US-led troops are battling an unending war against Taliban across Afghanistan
A bomber has targeted NATO troops in the troubled southern Afghanistan, killing at least two civilians and wounding several others.

The incident occurred in the town of Shah-Jooy in Zabul province on Wednesday. The bomber, who targeted the troops, was reportedly riding a motorcycle.

"There was an explosion and we dragged two civilians' dead bodies from the spot," an Afghan army officer told the AFP news agency.

Sources said the blast set a NATO armored vehicle on fire.

Although more than 100,000 foreign troops are currently fighting Taliban militants in Afghanistan, there has been no sign of stability in the war-torn country.

Thousands of civilians have lost their lives in Afghanistan since the 2001 US-led invasion.
