Real Madrid have crashed out of the Copa del Rey after losing 4-1 on aggregate to Alcorcon, while Barcelona easily advanced with a 5-0 win over Cultural Leonesa.

Real won the second leg 1-0 on Tuesday when Rafael Van der Vaart scored in the 81st minute at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Los Blancos, however, were dropped out on an emphatic 4-1 aggregate result, following a surprising 4-0 defeat in Alcorcon in the first leg two weeks ago.

“They [Alcorcon players] deserve this ... we have not played well, in either game,” said Real Madrid skipper Raul.

Alcorcon boss Juan Antonio Anquela said his men achieved their dream by defeating the Spanish giants.

"There's a nice party going on in the locker-room," Anquela said. "We achieved a dream. To beat Madrid is a dream."

In another match the same day, the Copa champions Barcelona thrashed Cultural Leonesa 5-0 to secure a comfortable passage to the fifth round of the Copa del Rey at Camp Nou.

Bojan Krkic scored twice while Pedro Rodriguez, Lionel Messi and Xavi Hernandez added to the second-half outburst as Pep Guardiola's side beat its third-division opponent 7-0 overall.

"I congratulate the team because this is the way forward. After the break we had a little more rhythm, speed and better movement of the ball. The goals helped us to relax a little," Guardiola said.

Alcorcon will meet Barcelona in the next round of the Copa del Rey, which takes place in mid-January.
