An official with Iran's Foreign Ministry has criticized Norway for preventing an Iranian citizen from studying in the country by deporting the student.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Ahani said Tuesday that the act is in clear violation of human rights by the Norwegian government.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Norway's Ambassador to Tehran, Roald Næss.
Ahani said considering that the student, whose name was not disclosed, has been praised by his professors and the university's dean, Iran expects that the Norwegian government allow the student's return to complete his studies.
