Honduras' ousted President Manuel Zelaya
The de facto leader of Honduras Roberto Micheletti says that he would form a unity government without ministers from the cabinet of ousted President Manuel Zelaya.

"I am proud to announce tonight that we have completed the formation of the cabinet of unity and reconciliation," Micheletti said Thursday.

The announcement comes hours after Micheletti dissolved his cabinet.

Last week, Zelaya and Micheletti had agreed to end a four-month political crisis and form a so-called unity and reconciliation cabinet by Thursday, but they disagreed on who would lead the cabinet.

Zelaya declined to name any members to the cabinet, but Micheletti said he was going ahead without them.

Earlier on Thursday, Zelaya said the pact was at risk of failing unless Congress held a special session immediately to restore him to power.

The country is in political crisis since the military ousted the leftist leader in a coup in June.
